I am not them.

I did a google search for my name and looked at the first 10 pages of results. While I am mentioned a few times, these people are responsible for the majority of the results.

I am not:

Michael J. Teplitsky, M.D. - He is an alternative medicine doctor in Brooklyn N.Y.

Michael Teplitsky - He owns Rommark Corporation that apparently has something to do with construction in Australia or something.

Michael V. Teplitsky - He is mentioned DBLP Computer Science Bibliography, which I have no idea what it is.

Michael Teplitsky - He graduated Northwestern University and worked for Lime Rock Partners. He is the one responsible for m-teplitsky@northwestern.edu being already taken by the time I began to work at the university. He's got a bunch of e-mails that were sent to me!

Michael V Teplitsky - He co-authored this paper on some sort of biology.

Michael Teplitsky - He is a member of the nitpickers guild.

Michael Teplitsky - He got a BS from the University of Dayton in Ohio.

NWN2 progress report.

Posted on July 9, 2007 at 10:46 am.

I just finished act 2 of Neverwinter Nights 2. It's too bad that Shandra had to die. Aside from being a good person she was a very useful fifth fighter in a party. Now that I think about it, all her good gear is gone too. (Unless I am mistaken.)

My NWN2 experience is still being made unpleasant by the limitations of my gaming computer. I have to turn every single setting down so that I can play at 1680x1050. I can't wait to build my new Legendary Gaming Rig.

Vaporware.

Posted on July 9, 2007 at 10:41 am.

I have no choice but to make the following statements:

Project Offset is vaporware.
The Silver Lining (King's Quest) is vaporware.

The last time Project Offset's web site has a news update was October 23, 2006. The forums are somewhat alive, but noting new or constructive had been said in months and months.

The Silver Lining has also fallen off the face of the earth ever since they posted a fix to their public alpha test (which they call a demo). Once again the forums are alive, but nothing constructive had been offered. Even if the development was stalled because of Vivendy, as I wrote before it could not have taken longer than 4 months to get back on track and that is being generous.

All of this is pretty sad, because I was actually really looking forward to both of these games.

Oh well...

Got my castle.

Posted on July 7, 2007 at 8:33 pm.

I just got my castle in NWN2. Managing it is fun! I like this one better than the one I had n BG2. All I need is some more ore and my personal army is gonna be bad ass!

WTF is wrong with us?

Posted on July 6, 2007 at 1:23 pm.

The North American version of The Witcher will have "adult elements" removed from it according to the recent GameSpy article, as well as the game's official forums.

WTF?!!!!

Why are we acting in the same retarded manner as those euro-peons* who remove violence/blood/swastikas from games?

*No offense to anyone who had it forced upon them, but all the offense in the world to those who made the decision.

Why the hell does someone feel like they know what's best for me?! Why am I allowed to drive, vote, drink, have sex, own a weapon, serve in the military, watch porn online, etc, etc, etc, but I am not allowed to play a game, of all things, that has "adult elements".

Who is responsible for this? It is Atari? Is it a government organization of some sort? I would really like to know so I could write to them and let them know what I think about them.

Most of all, why do we (the people) allow this to continue?

Sword of the New World beta.

Posted on July 5, 2007 at 11:37 am.

I poked my nose at the Sword of the New World open beta test, and was largely unimpressed. Of course it is a beta and things will get better, but for now half the text is in some sort of Asiatic language (Korean I assume) and the graphics are messed up. The controls are messed up too and the introduction is pretty sub par. Most things are not explained adequately if at all.

I am not gonna uninstall it just yet, but for now it's nearly unplayable as far as I am concerned.

This just in: Gore is full of shit.

Posted on July 1, 2007 at 5:35 pm.

Chicago Sun Times just published an article in which the semi-religious global warming dogma spread by the useless has-been (and a known liar) - Al Gore, is shown to fizzle out under scientific scrutiny.

Read more here.

Personally if I was to pick a useless attention whore to annoy me, I'd pick Paris Hilton over Al Gore. At least she just wants to be seen and admired, as opposed to causing real damage.
