Crysis demo.

Just got to downloading it last night. Played it through a couple of times by now.

Yea it's kinda pretty... but I feel like it's just for of Far Cry. Those who loved the original, will probably enjoy this one.

Myself, I am not planning on buying it.

Movie - Beowolf.

Posted on December 9, 2007 at 12:45 pm.

Saw Beowulf yesterday.

WTF? Why can't morons just fucking stop moralizing?

The original tale is that of Beowulf who kills Grendel (a human not a monster) and Grendel's mother, after which he goes back to Sweden. There he becomes king and at an old age dies while killing a dragon.

Why the hell did they have to twist it? Why is Grendel a poor, sick monster? Why is he a bastard of the king? Why does Beowulf not kill his mother and instead sleep with her to produce that very dragon that kills him eventually? Any why the hell was Fáfnir mentioned? This is BS.

Also, although the quality of animation was superb, I didn't like it. I don't know why, something about it felt iffy.

Overall ... I'm not gonna see it again.

Movie - Hitman.

Posted on December 7, 2007 at 11:26 am.

Saw Hitman last weekend. Like most movies based on games it was lacking. Still, it was fairly enjoyable and had its moments. The fact that it was set mostly in Russia was annoying because of all the misspellings. Also the love story absolutely didn't need to be there. Other than that it's a plausible B movie.

Fraud, intimidation, bribery and Putin.

Check out this article. Looks like old boy Putin is there to stay and it also looks like he will do so by any means necessary. What a fraud.

I think I will take time out of my busy schedule to drive downtown and vote against him when the time comes. That'll be the only good use for my stupid red passport with a mutated, two-headed chicken.

I'm back in WoW.

Posted on November 28, 2007 at 2:37 pm.

I decided to return to the World of Warcraft. First of all, I have enough points saved up on my WoW Visa, so I can play for a few months for free. Secondly, my friend Jack is approaching level 70 so it will be fun to play together with him.

Trip to Korea - Day 3.

Posted on November 20, 2007 at 6:41 pm.

Today we visited the Korean National Museum and a big indoor electronics market.

The museum was quite impressive as a building and had a lot of interesting things on display. The admission cost us 2,000 won per person, which roughly translates to $2.10 - not bad at all. Unlike American museums this one also had a very descent cafeteria, where the prices are fairly normal.

The electronics market was a fiasco. It is cheaper to buy EVERYTHING in America. Even without sales, we have lower prices on everything. Shopping in Korea is simply not worth it.

Also, today we got to see the nice side of the Korean culture. As we were riding the subway all across Seoul, we often had people approach us and try to help us figure out the directions. When one of our subway-cards did not work, some random person spent half an hour with us trying to help us. Everyone was really nice and pleasant, perhaps yesterday was too gloomy because I got exposed to a number of bad sides at once.
