Russian gays defy ban.

A bunch of Russian gays and lesbians decided to ignore a ban that prohibits them from gathering. This sure as hell took guts, considering what happened last year.
What is different from last year, is that the police seemed to be more concerned with arresting the filthy swine that gathered to throw eggs at, and to beat on the protesters.
I don't know if this was intentional or not, but just for that I am not going to use my usual "filthy swine" picture.

Leotheras the Blind in Serpentshrine Cavern went down last night! Only Lady Vashj is left out of the whole SSC.

Swiss income tax.

This is sent to me by a friend, and is unveryfied as of yet:
On the Swiss income tax, if you own your home they count as income the amount you would have paid to rent an equivalent property. This does tend to equalize somewhat the incentives between renting and buying (!).

Last night my guild killed Fathom Lord Karathress in Serpentshrine Cavern for the first time! I was in the raid and participated! This is the first time I had a first-kill with my guild! Yay! I contribute!

I raided Magtheridon and Gruul tonight.
Ended up with Voidheart Mantle, which along with my gloves will give me that nice set bonus.

I went to Kara with a PuG! A PuG! And we killed all the bosses that we attempted on the first try! All accept the Prince, whom we killed on the second try. This was the best PuG ever!
I got the Nathrezim Mindblade!!! Then I had a +40 Spell Damage enchant put on it.
Also by the end of the run I had enough badges to get myself the Carved Witch Doctor's Stick.
No more greens for me! At least until the new expansion comes out.

I find it very refreshing that we live in a country where the judiciary is not hopelessly corrupt. A state appeals court ruled today that the state of Texas had no right to seize the children of a polygamist sect.
It doesn't matter if those religious freaks are good people or not. Myself I find nothing good about them. Still, the government has no right to infringe on their lives and to take their children away.
The fact that the court took the side of the people instead of going with whatever the government decided is important to me personally, because I want to move to Texas, and with this thing going on I began to have reservations. Now, however, it is clear that Texas is a place where justice can be found and so it is a place I could live in.

I joined Facebook yesterday. First I tried joining a Russian Facebook-ripoff called Vkontakte, but it turned out to be just a pile of crap, that I just had to compare it to the original.
Well... as with most things that the Russians try to copy, the real thing is vastly superior.
This, however, is not to say that Facebook itself is perfect. It'll do for now though.
