Age wine in 30 minutes.

An ultrasound machine speeds up the aging process of wine by colliding alcohol molecules. That taste of decades old wine is now achievable in 30 minutes. Woot!

Rap your way to exile.
Posted on September 30, 2008 at 6:56 pm.
This is quite something:
A Russian army lieutenant is being sent to the Russian Far East after making a rap video complaining about conditions in his St. Petersburg barracks.
The video, posted on the Russian equivalent of YouTube, is set to the tune of 'Stan', by US rapper Eminem.
In it the lieutenant laments the peeling walls and filthy bathroom and moldy showers at his base.
But he is now being sent to Ussuriysk, a coal-mining town which is nine-hours flying from Moscow.
The video - titled "A letter to the minister of defence" - features footage of the squalid living conditions in the barracks.
The soldier's musical complaint sees him read out an email he is writing to the Russian defence minister, asking what happened to the mortgages promised to soldiers to buy decent places to live.
And why did he never receive a reply to his previous letters, he asks?

No more front page.

I figured there is no need for this site to have a front page. Since the blog is the most viewed page anyway, might as well make it the default one.
Which is exactly what I did.

Local murderer goes free.
Posted on September 24, 2008 at 9:25 pm.
A dirty, piece-of-shit scumbag Jeanette Sliwinski, who brutally murdered three local musicians as they were sitting in their car having lunch, is about to go free. She was supposed to serve 8 years. But apparently her behavior was good. Meaning she didn't murder anyone since.
I can't believe this is happening. I really, truly can't.
I hope she gets her's soon. Preferably in a demeaning and very painful manner. Meanwhile, if you see her on the street, spit in her direction.

Green? Nah, hypocrite or stupid.
Posted on September 24, 2008 at 2:43 pm.

People who believe they have the greenest lifestyles can be seen as some of the main culprits behind global warming, says a team of researchers, who claim that many ideas about sustainable living are a myth.
According to the researchers, people who regularly recycle rubbish and save energy at home are also the most likely to take frequent long-haul flights abroad. The carbon emissions from such flights can swamp the green savings made at home, the researchers claim.

Oh and now the bitter, hypocrite has-been - Al Gore is urging civil disobedience. By November he'll probably be urging riots.

Cash infusions.
Posted on September 24, 2008 at 1:59 pm.
Many of us need cash because of poor money management skills. Why should only the banks get government help? Here is a very nice Wall Street Journal article: link.
- A pawn shop in Reno, Nev., has an excess supply of eight-track cassette players, flower print shirts, broad white belts and Wayne Newton tapes, having gambled that the '70s would come roaring back. The owner pleaded for a Treasury take-over, arguing, "How can the government stand by and let such a rich part of our American culture simply fade away?"
- The owner of an NFL poster shop in Green Bay, Wis., reports that he has given up on divine intervention and is now asking for Treasury to take over his business in a last-ditch effort to preserve the notion that whatever our differences, we're all Americans.

Joe Biden shines.

"When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the princes of greed, he said, 'Look, here's what happened.'"
Now, you may wonder, how did poor Roosevelt achieve this feat? Simple! All he did was use his discombobulation ray emitter, which he constructed from pure unobtanium as a young boy. Napoleon III and Cleopatra watched in shock as he appeared on TV. According to some sources they even exchanged a few panicky e-mails.
Edit:
Ok, folks... Many of the people I showed this to (and whom I gave more credit than they apparently deserved), didn't seem to see anything wrong with it. For the benefit of the ignorant, although I don't think it will help, allow me to give a quick history lesson:
1) The market crash occurred on October 29th of 1929, a day that was later called the Black Tuesday.
2) Television began to become available to consumers in late 1930s, about 10 years after.
3) Franklin D. Roosevelt became president in 1933.
4) Herbert Hoover was president when the markets crashed and the Great Depression began.
If you didn't know this, you are unfit to be a voter in this country.
Thank you for your attention.

When I become a Minister of Barbarian Affairs, such barbarians will be immediately disassembled and their organs sold. All proceeds will go to the family of the victim. All costs incurred by the Ministry of Barbarian Affairs will be billed to the family of the barbarian.
