Wii.
Posted on December 12, 2009 at 10:47 pm.

I was over at a client today, fixing his computer, and his son gave me his Wii, because he is sick of it.
So... I got a Wii now...
Hooked it up, seems to work. I got no games, so I downloaded some demo. Final Fantasy tower something. Looks like crap. This console only outputs at 480i apparently.
Overall I'm not impressed, even considering the fact that I got it for free.
Anyone know of any awesome Wii games that will make me change my mind?

Devil's Tuning Fork review published.
Posted on December 10, 2009 at 10:37 pm.

Yesterday my review of Devil's Tuning Fork was published by The Adrenaline Vault.
It is a great indie game, and unfortunately this was a rare occasion when I was unhappy with the way my review was edited. Oh well.
Here is a link to Avault.

Game #139 - Devil's Tuning Fork.
Posted on December 5, 2009 at 5:24 pm.

I just beat Devil's Tuning Fork. It itself it's not much of an accomplishment, since it only took me about 20 minutes to do so, however I was pretty impressed with this little indie title. I am looking forward to reviewing it for Avault, and maybe even interviewing the developers, who happen to be a bunch of students in Chicago's own DePaul University. You should take a look at DTF here.
My list of the games I beat is now updated accordingly.

Bulgaria is in contact with aliens.
Posted on December 2, 2009 at 12:22 pm.

Rejoice! The sovereign nation of Bulgaria is in contact with aliens. They've been sending them questions and the aliens were replying via crop circles.
You think I'm making this up? Nope! =)
Bulgaria has a Space Research Institute, which has a deputy director named Lachezar Filipov. He said the following:
"Aliens are currently all around us and are watching us all the time. They are not hostile towards us, rather, they want to help us but we have not grown enough in order to establish direct contact with them. They are ready to help us but we don't know what to request from them in case of contact."
In addition to being a great scientist he is also able to tell right from wrong. According to him,
"Extraterrestrials are critical of people's amoral behavior."
He also believes that humans and aliens are to have telepathic contact in the next 15 years.

Book - The Selfish Gene.
Posted on November 28, 2009 at 4:33 pm.

I read The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins. It is a marvelous, extremely interesting and a very well written book! I learned a lot and am definitely going to read more of what he wrote.
(The above picture is a humorous reference to one of the possible strategies in the Game Theory. It is used in the Iterated Prisoners' Dilemma. Read more about Tit for Tat here.)
Edit: The original image is hidden for now. I will put it back once this entry scrolls down a bit.
Edit2: Ok the picture is now uncensored since there are four posts on top of this one.

I read the Competitors by Sergei Lukyanenko. It's junk.

I read the Manual Drive by Vadim Panov. It's pretty crummy.

Game #138 - Torchlight.
Posted on November 22, 2009 at 12:02 pm.

Avault sent me Torchlight to review and today I beat it. The review is forthcoming, but for now I am just glad I finished my 138th game.
As always it has been recorded in the annals of History, i.e. my list of games that I beat.
