Piracy article published.
Posted on January 18, 2010 at 2:37 pm.

The Adrenaline Vault published another article of mine today. It is written in a form of an open letter to a friend who pirates games. The friend I'm addressing is not an actual person, but rather a composite of a bunch of people I know.
You can read it here.

Movie - 9.
Posted on January 16, 2010 at 9:13 pm.

I just rented and watched 9, the animated movie directed by Shane Acker. It was really pretty and steampunkish, which is what I like to see. The plot was unfortunately not quite as strong as I hoped it would, but still I enjoyed it. Hoping for more from where this came from.

Book - The Chatty Dead Man.
Posted on January 16, 2010 at 9:09 pm.

I'm progressing with my readings of the Chronicles of Echo series by Max Fray. The last one I finished was The Chatty Dead Man, which was a lot darker than the previous books. The final story was actually rather disturbing and unpleasant. I really liked it.

Book - The Power of What Didn't Come True.
Posted on January 11, 2010 at 11:14 pm.

I resumed reading the Chronicles of Echo series by Max Fray, and now had read The Power of What Didn't Come True. It was entertaining. I really like the world, if not necessarily the stories and characters.

The Age of Decadence website is quoting my preview at the top of their front page. Take a look here.
Woot! I think I'm doing quite well if this is beginning to happen! =)

Game #144 - Left4Dead.
Posted on January 9, 2010 at 6:16 pm.

I just beat Left4Dead, my game number 144. I wasn't all that impressed really. It's designed for coop multiplayer first and foremost, and I wish it was a single player game instead. There was so much potential for a good story and it was all ruined to accommodate a bunch of imbeciles.
Oh well. I recorded it it my list and then uninstalled it. I doubt I'll come back to it again. Fortunately, I only paid $7 for it during the Steam Holiday Sale.

Age of Decadence demo impressions published.
Posted on January 7, 2010 at 4:56 pm.

A few minutes ago the Adrenaline Vault published my write-up on a recent combat demo of Age of Decadence, a very promising RPG currently in development. I was impressed, which doesn't happen often, so you should go and read all about it here.
Update:
It was also published by The Examiner here.

Game #143 - Trine.
Posted on January 3, 2010 at 11:31 am.

I just finished Trine, a beautiful indie platformer/puzzler. It reminded me of The Lost Vikings, but is much easier to beat than that. The final level was pretty much the only challenge as it was the only fully platform one, where I had to make my way up on a timer or be destroyed by rising lava.
Overall I enjoyed Trine a lot. My desktop background right now is a screenshot I took from it. This is my first game of 2010, and 143rd overall. It's now recorded in my list of games that I beat.
